Dr. Najma A. Heptulla is an Indian politician and the current Governor of Manipur. She was born on April 13, 1940, in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India. Since 2017, she has been appointed as the Chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia.
Dr. Heptulla has had an illustrious career in politics and has held various positions in the Indian government. She completed her education in the United Kingdom and obtained a Ph.D. in Cardiac Anatomy. Dr. Heptulla began her political career in the early 1980s and has been associated with the Indian National Congress party for a significant part of her career.
