The Supreme Court on Monday expressed its concern over the low pension being given to the retired district judges. The apex court pointed out that the judges being paid 19,000 to 20,000 after such long service is not enough and is unjustifiable. The Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud requested the Attorney General R Venkataramani to come up with a just solution to the sufferings of the district judge. The Chief Justice also highlighted that some of the High Court Judges are not being paid a pension after retirement.
